Get Advice From Experienced Business Owners

Hard to come by isn't it? Advice from experienced business owners who genuinely believe in community over competition and want to help. I've experienced this personally actually. A "friend" who did business mentorship and brand photography always spoke about community over competition, like, always. It was her passion apparently but.. when I wanted to move into business mentorship too, the community over competition façade rapidly fell.

Queue a nasty Instagram post about how I had stolen her business ideas *sigh The fact that so many new members of The Small Business Community tell me when they onboard that the reason they're joining is to get advice from experienced business owners who genuinely want to help, tells me that I have absolutely created that space and that culture.

I started The Small Business Community purely as a space to help small business owners grow on Instagram (cos I really love Instagram for business, she's my ride or die) but ooft did it quickly evolve and dear reader, I was HERE FOR IT! I started posting little prompts in the group chat to start to encourage a bit more chat between members, as you do when you're running any sort of small business mentorship community, and boom. The chat did indeed start to flow. It became so clear so quickly that what I had built here was so much more than just a social media mentorship space. It was a full blown small business community where business owners were cheering each other on, lifting each other up and.. sharing lived experience. I started to see words like "try this, this worked for me" and "my sisters friend had a beauty salon, let me ask her what she used" One member described the community as a place

"full of people who genuinely want nothing but good things for you" be still my wee heart. Since we moved away from solely being a social media mentorship group and into the now Small Business Community the chat is on fire. Advice from lived experience is shared daily between businesss owner members, never with any expectation of anything in return except maybe to say "let us know how you get on and/or if you need anything else!" So if you're a small business owner looking for a safe, judgement free, online community where business owners genuinely share advice between each other. You've found it here friend. Kettles on and we're saving you a seat.
