Why Facebook Groups Aren’t Working for You (Yet)
Here’s what I see all the time:
You’re in Facebook groups where your ideal client is already hanging out…
You wait for the promo thread…
You drop your link…
…and then you leave.
Then a few days later you’re thinking:
“Why am I not getting any sales from this?”
I’m going to be honest with you…
👉 Dropping a link and running is not a strategy
And it’s definitely not how you grow on Facebook.
The Strategy That Actually Works: Attract, Nurture, Convert
Inside my Get Seen Get Sales Method®️, everything comes back to this:
👉 Attract → Nurture → Convert
And yes… this works just as well in Facebook groups as it does on Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok and beyond
Let’s break it down..
1. ATTRACT: Get Seen in Facebook Groups
This is where most people get it wrong, they think attraction = promotion.
It doesn’t.
👉 Attraction in Facebook groups = being seen consistently
This looks like:
Commenting on posts
Answering questions
Sharing your experience
Supporting other people
Even something as simple as:
“Oh I remember this stage, it’s so tough!”
“We went through this too, sending you love”
When you show up regularly:
People recognise your name
You build trust
You often earn “Top Contributor” badges
2. NURTURE: Build Trust Without Selling
This is where the magic happens and it’s the bit most small business owners skip.
Nurture content in Facebook groups looks like:
Sharing helpful advice
Answering questions in detail
Posting tips or resources
Recommending tools or ideas
For example:
A wedding videographer sharing “what to ask before booking”
A baby class owner sharing “what to expect at your first class”
A skincare brand sharing “how to build a simple routine”
Sales don’t happen at the point of promotion, they happen at the point of trust
And trust is built here in that juicy nurture content.
3. CONVERT: Use Promo Threads Properly
Now we sell.
But not like this:
❌ “Here’s my link”
❌ “Check out my page”
We need context. We need connection.
Try this instead:
Template you can use:
Hi, I’m [your name] and I [what you offer] for [your ideal client].
Recently, I worked with [client/example] and they said:[insert short testimonial or result]
If this sounds like what you need, you can find me here:[link]
Why this works:
It’s clear who you help
It’s relatable
It builds trust instantly
It feels like a soft sell, not a pushy one

Stay and engage
This is where most people disappear and it’s a huge missed opportunity.
Instead:
Reply to other people
Say hello
Start conversations
Support other businesses
Think of it like a networking event… You wouldn’t walk in, shout your offer, then leave 🤣
