But before we get into all of that, let's rewind a little...

​

I live on the beautiful west coast of Scotland with my husband John, our wildly wonderful twins, and our rescue pup Walt.

​

Life is a mix of family chaos, hot chocolates, beach walks, school runs, business ideas scribbled on scraps of paper, and the occasional treasure hunt for sea glass and rocks along the Ayrshire coastline.

Like many small business owners, my journey hasn't been a straight line, I've definitely pivoted more than once.

​

I started out as a wedding florist, later became a brand photographer, then a social media mentor, and today I spend my days bringing small business owners together through education, support, community, and practical business advice.

​

Each chapter taught me something valuable about starting, growing, and running a business. Most importantly, it taught me that no business owner should have to figure everything out alone.

​

Why I Created The Small Business Community

​

It's hard to know who to ask when you're stuck, whether you're charging enough, if your marketing is working, or if everyone else somehow got the small business start up handbook that you missed.

​

I created The Small Business Community because I want business owners to have a place where they could learn, connect, and grow alongside people who genuinely understand the highs, lows, and realities of running a business.

​

No pressure.

No judgement.

No question is too small.

Just practical support, expert guidance, and a room full of people cheering each other on.

The Growth Addicts Podcast

 

In 2024, I launched The Growth Addicts Podcast on my 40th birthday.

The podcast was created to bring honest conversations, practical advice, and inspiring stories to small business owners navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

​

Since then, it has grown into an Apple Top 20 Podcast and featured guests from a wide range of industries, all sharing lessons, experiences, and ideas to help listeners grow their businesses with confidence.
