How to Identify Your Ideal Client

Clear the rest of your schedule for the day because this is a topic I could talk about for hours!

Ok, ok so I won't keep you for hours but this blog is definitely worth sitting down with a cuppa for and really digesting. Knowing your ideal client inside and out is, I believe, the great foundation of any business. I mean, how can you truly market your small business properly if you're not 100% sure who you're marketing to?

At the minute, you’re probably doing all of the things with regards your marketing. You’re everywhere everyone is telling you to be “get on Facebook” “post on Instagram” “don’t forget about Linked In” and remember “put a flyer in the coffee shop” You’re doing it all but you’re not seeing the results you were expecting. Your social media followers aren’t growing by much and neither is your sales/order/bookings and you're confused.

Well, you’ve come to the right place. You might be doing just now what is known as “spray and pray” marketing, I did this too until I discovered the ideal client avatar. You just want to get your business out in front of as many people as possible. I get it. But, what that approach to marketing usually attracts though is either nothing at all, or, the wrong type of customers. The bargain hunters, the low budget-high expectation clients, that sort of thing.

I talk in depth about my own experience of spray and pray marketing when I started up in business 10 years ago in this video, go check it out!

So, what can you do to change this, where do you start to really get to know your ideal client, be less busy but MORE profitable? With my eBook! Sure, you can scour the internet and find a load of articles on how to identify your ideal client but, if you'd like to save time, cut to the chase and learn from someone you trust (Hi, hopefully that's me!) then my eBook "Your Ideal Client: The Who, What, Where & Why" is ready and waiting for you to dive in.

What do I cover in the eBook?

  • My own experience of spray and pray marketing

  • What an ideal client is, exactly

  • Why identifying your ideal client is important

Exercises to guide you through figuring out:

  • Who your ideal client is

  • What your ideal clients problem is and how you help solve it

  • Where to find your ideal client

  • What catches your ideal clients eye

Where can I get it and how much is it?

You can get it from my online shop here where it is instantly downloadable to any device! It costs just £12, perhaps the best £12 you'll ever spend in your business? Let me know!

I truly hope the eBook reaches as many small business owners as possible so that we can all learn together how important this part of our marketing strategy is so please do share this blog with a small business friend.

I'd love to hear how you get on with the eBook and of course, if you have any questions then my inbox is always open: hello@shotbyamanda.co.uk or you can find and DM me on Instagram!

Amanda
